I started Donáh’s Passions herbal body care company continuing a journey that led me to studying and researching alternative medicine and health. My journey taught me to connect with the intuitive guidance, which was given to me by Spirit. I believe that this guidance is what keeps us all connected to the flow of life. Most often, we move too quickly, get stuck in chaos, and ignore it. The journey started when my daughter Annika was born, with Hirschsprung’s disease, a chronic condition of the bowel and intestine, that wasn't responding to allopathic and conventional medicine. Along with the disease, Annika's immune system was severely compromised with each ongoing surgery (approximately 14). I say approximately, because I stopped counting or trying to remember the exact number. After each surgery, she took longer to recover. If there was an illness, she caught it. She seemed to be sick even when she wasn't in the hospital. She got weaker not stronger. I remember when she first started making sounds. “music to my ears", I thought she was finally going to start talking. She had become what they termed at that time, developmentally delayed. Then she had to have emergency surgery, and when she came out of the hospital, the sounds seemed to stop. I insisted she was traumatized, and that she needed a lot of love and support to want to try communicating again, sounds did eventually return, but never sounds that were able to turn into words. I was a determined mother, and very stubborn. My instincts told me

that I could help make her healthy. Annika became allergic to almost every medication under the sun. I began studying diet and nutrition. You see not only was Annika allergic to medication she was also allergic to many foods. I was a strict vegetarian, but found that I could not feed her properly on a vegetarian diet. She was allergic to soy, dairy, most nuts and beans did not suit her constitution. She could not so much as touch an egg. I had no choice but to succumb and start feeding her chicken. I studied homeopathy and I apprenticed as an herbalist in order to make her well. I trained and studied herbs in the wise woman tradition with Robin Rose Bennett. I spent many hours in the woods communing with nature. Finally, with all of my studies and perseverance, she became healthier and her allergies subsided, her quality of life vastly improved. This is the Alpha leg of my journey into the unknown. This, a story of love that led me to nature and developing a deep connection with the divine source through intuition. Annika never did learn to speak, and is still, severely delayed, and will probably always be, however she is happy and smiles all of the time. She also finds ways to make her desires known and understood.

I moved my children to Charlotte , North Carolina to be closer to my parents. I continued to make medicines and tinctures for family and friends when needed. I was always the loved one showing up on your doorstep with an herbal concoction. One night during a peaceful rest, I had a dream and in that dream, I was standing in a store. I saw shelves lined with honey and when I got closer, I could see herbs sitting in the jars. I was able to identify each herb. My training of connection taught me that in life, we are always given signs, but most of us are too busy to follow them. I knew that the dream was a message, and a sign. I awoke the next morning, went to my kitchen, and starting tuning in. I got very quiet, and listened for my next step. My first formula began to flow through me. It felt like ecstasy. Donáh’s Passions was born.

Just as a musician has his muse that inspires him to play, I have mine. My muse is nature. I hand picks many of the plants in the wild, some of them grow and others I get from organic farmers. I hand blend each product. Every formula is unique Each works beyond aesthetics to balance and rejuvenate your body and soul. Some people can feel openings being created, some feel joy and others feel nurtured. It is my hope that when you use my products you will “Find the Passion and Live in Ecstasy”.
